Up for sale is a 1986 Ibanez PL2550 Pro Line Series, made in Japan at the legendary FujiGen factory. Finished in its original Gold Pearl metallic gloss, this one-year-only model is a standout from Ibanez’s golden era.
This guitar features neck-through construction with alder body wings and a 5-piece maple/walnut neck for incredible sustain and stability. The ebony fingerboard with sharktooth inlays gives it that unmistakable 80s Pro Line look.
One of the most unique features of the PL2550 is its Gibson 24 1/2" scale length, giving it a slightly warmer, more compressed feel compared to typical 25.5" super-strats. It plays fast but retains a fuller midrange response — a rare combination in a trem-equipped instrument.
